Studio Storm™ is committed to ensuring that our business operations and supply chains are free from modern slavery in any form. Modern slavery encompasses a range of exploitative practices, including but not limited to forced labor, human trafficking, child labor, and exploitation of vulnerable workers.

As a design studio operating in Australia, we take our ethical responsibilities seriously. We are committed to maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency in all our dealings and ensuring that we act in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and other relevant local laws.

This Modern Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to ethical practices, and we aim to uphold these standards across all facets of our business operations. We are dedicated to ensuring that no part of our business, directly or indirectly, contributes to modern slavery in any form.

  • The purpose of this Modern Slavery Policy is to:

  • To ensure we identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery, Studio Storm:

    • Conducts regular risk assessments of our direct operations and supply chains to identify where modern slavery may be present.

    • Engages with suppliers and contractors through contractual agreements that require them to comply with all relevant laws, including those related to modern slavery.

    • Encourages suppliers to provide transparency regarding their labor practices, including their policies on forced labor, child labor, and ethical recruitment.

    • Requests that suppliers complete a questionnaire on modern slavery risk and provide evidence of their compliance with international labor standards.

  • Studio Storm expects all suppliers and contractors to uphold the same standards of ethical conduct that we maintain. Specifically, we require suppliers to:

    • Comply with all applicable local, state, and international laws regarding labor and human rights.

    • Ensure that workers are not subjected to forced labor, human trafficking, or other forms of modern slavery.

    • Offer fair wages, safe working conditions, and ensure the health and well-being of all employees.

    • Provide written evidence of their compliance with these standards when requested.

  • Studio Storm encourages all employees, contractors, and suppliers to report any concerns regarding modern slavery. If you believe that modern slavery or any form of exploitation exists in our operations or supply chains, you should:

  • Any employee, contractor, or supplier found to be involved in modern slavery practices will face serious consequences, which may include:

    • Disciplinary action for employees, up to and including termination of employment.

    • Termination of contracts with suppliers or contractors found to be in breach of this policy.

  • Studio Storm will review and update this policy annually to ensure it remains relevant and effective. Any significant changes to this policy will be communicated to all employees, contractors, and suppliers.
